Duane Vandenbusche talk a hit, as usual!

Duane Vandenbusche‘s talks on Gunnison and Ohio Creek history are always fascinating and attended by a good crowd. This one was no exception, and on July 15th a hungry bunch of locals and newcomers showed up for potluck and to listen to Duane’s stories.

Cleanup at the Schoolhouse: Junk be gone!

The cleanup at the Schoolhouse in early June was very successful. The enthusiastic volunteer cleaning crew got rid of rickety chairs, splintery benches and wobbly tables. The schoolhouse is spic-and-span! The most amazing find among the junk was a full plate of food from some event years ago.

Pumpkin-carving party at the Schoolhouse!

A spur-of-the-moment pumpkin-carving party was organized at the schoolhouse earlier this week. The pumpkins became magnificent jack-o’-lanterns under the talented knives of our neighborly carvers.
